Personal agents
Put your personal agent to work on your next role
Use a personal agent such as Muse, GrokBot, or Instinct. Give it your resume and job search preferences, then ask it to identify target companies, find openings, and verify each role on the company's career site. Then have it save the opportunities in Interview League so you can review them and prepare for interviews.
Your personal agent researches companies, jobs, potential networking connections, and confirmed interviewers. Interview League stores the relevant context and provides your interview preparation, practice, and feedback. Start with an agent that can browse the web. When you are ready to save results, it also needs authenticated HTTP requests or an integration that provides that capability.
1. Set up your personal agent for job search
Share your resume and create your own search brief. Your agent can help refine your constraints, rank target companies, find roles verified on company career sites, and identify relevant people you might connect with. Start with the job search guide and adapt its example prompt to your needs.
2. Connect Interview League and save opportunities
Once you have roles worth pursuing, connect your agent to Interview League. Create a token in Settings → API Access, store it in your agent's secret settings, and have it save verified postings with your resume and source links. Review the saved opportunities using the links your agent returns.
3. Keep getting value as interviews progress
When your interview is scheduled, ask your agent to research the confirmed interviewers, update their profiles in Interview League, and return the opportunity link. Open Interview League to review how to prepare, generate personalized preparation where your plan allows, practice, and review feedback. Repeat for the next round as new information arrives. Follow the interviewer research and preparation guide.
What you need before starting
- A current resume as text or a readable PDF.
- Your own search preferences, such as location, role level, or compensation; your agent can help you refine them.
- An Interview League account and a personal access token for your agent.
Can I save roles on the Free plan?
Yes. Storing opportunities and interviewers is unlimited on every plan. Personalized interview preparation has separate limits: Free includes one hiring manager on one opportunity; Pro covers up to ten active opportunities with ten interviewers each, excluding recruiter personalization. See plan limits.
Does Interview League search or apply for jobs for me?
The workflow in these guides uses your own agent to search and verify jobs. Interview League receives the opportunities your agent saves. Saving a role does not submit an application.
